THE KING AND PROBLEM OF A CROCODILE

THE KING AND PROBLEM OF A CROCODILE

King: "Good day, my loyal subjects. I have called you all here today because I have a problem that I need your help with."

Subject 1: "What is it, my king? We are here to serve you."

King: "It seems that there is a crocodile in the river that is causing trouble for our fishermen. It's been eating all of the fish and they can't make a living."

Subject 2: "That's terrible, my king. What can we do to stop it?"

King: "I have heard that there is a wise old man who lives in the jungle who knows how to deal with crocodiles. I want you to go and find him and bring him here to me."

Subject 1: "As you command, my king. We will leave at once."

(Subjects 1 and 2 leave to find the wise old man.)

(A few days later)

Subject 1: "My king, we have found the wise old man and he is willing to help."

King: "Excellent. Bring him to me."

(The wise old man is brought before the king)

King: "Thank you for coming, wise old man. I need your help with the crocodile in the river."

Wise Old Man: "I can help you, but it will not be easy. The crocodile is old and wise, and it will not give up its territory easily."

King: "I understand. What do you suggest we do?"

Wise Old Man: "We must outsmart the crocodile. We will build a trap and lure it in with bait. Once it is trapped, we can remove it from the river and release it elsewhere."

King: "That sounds like a good plan. Let's do it."

(The trap is built and the crocodile is successfully trapped and removed from the river.)

King: "Thank you, wise old man. The river is safe once again and the fishermen can make a living."

Wise Old Man: "You're welcome, my king. It was my pleasure to help."

King: "I am forever in your debt. How can I repay you?"

Wise Old Man: "There is no need for repayment. It is my duty to serve the people and protect the land."

King: "You are truly a wise and noble man. I am honoured to have you as my subject."

The end.
